Chemin de Fer Essential Basics – Part 1

The basic premise of the card game is to be dealt cards totaling up to twenty one. Every black jack player is assigned 2 cards. When a gambler is dealt a nine or lower value card and an Ace they’ve been dealt a soft hand. When the gambler receives no Ace cards it is called as a hard hand. Once the cards have been handed to all players at the table, which includes the dealer, every gambler is provided the chance to make 1 of 6 actions:

Taking another card (Hit): When a black jack player announces "hit me" the dealer will deal them another card, if the addition of that card causes the value of the hand to exceed twenty one the blackjack player will have busted and that’s the end of the game, if the card pushes the total to 21 the blackjack player will be the winner and if the total hasn’t yet reached twenty-one they are still in the game.

Keeping the hand you’ve been given: If a blackjack player is satisfied with the hand they will stand. As soon as this has happened the croupier will reveal his or her cards and the gambler who has gotten twenty one or the nearest to twenty one will acquire a win.

Doubling Down: A player might ask to double down which doubles the wager they have placed. As soon as you’ve taken this action you can only receive 1 additional card. The details of doubling down are usually out lined by the table or casino rules so prior to wagering be certain you’re familiar with the casino established rules. If you are competing at a web-based casino this is usually quite easy.
